VEEDERSBURG — Effie Mae LaBaw,
84, Veedersburg, died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday May 11, 2003 in The Waters of
Covington. She was born Oct. 14, 1918 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Bertie and
Myrtia Greenlee Hershberger. She married Gerald LaBaw June 30, 1935 in
Hillsboro. He survives. She attended the Osborne Prairie Church and was a
member of the Osborne Prairie Ladies Guild. She was also an associate member of
the Fountain County Garden Club. She was a farm wife and a lifetime member of
the community. Survivors, besides the husband of Veedersburg, include: several
nieces and nephews. Gravesite services will be held at a later date. The body
is to be cremated. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, is in charge of
arrangements. – jlr
