Veedersburg – Jacob W. LaBaw, 74, carpenter-contractor died at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he had gone four days before for an operation.  Born June 6, 1870, near Hoopeston, Mr. LaBaw was the son of Jonathan and Christina Brown LaBaw.  The family came to Veedersburg when Mr. LaBaw was a boy and he continued to live in Veedersburg - kbz

Veedersburg—Jacob W. LaBaw, 74, carpenter-contractor, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he had gone four days before for an operation.    Born June 6, 1870 near Hoopeston, Mr. LaBaw was the son of Jonathan and Christina Brown LaBaw. The family came to Veedersburg when Mr. LaBaw was a boy and he continued to live in Veedersburg and its vicinity until his death.   Surviving are the widow, Maude Cook LaBaw; a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Holicrost; a brother, John LaBaw of Kansas City, Mo.; and one grandchild.  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the family residence. Burial in Rockfield Cemetery with Fishero & Son Funeral Home in charge.- S
