ATTICA — Janice Elaine (Anderson) LaFoe, 54, 810 S. McDonald St., Attica, died at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002 in the emergency room of Home Hospital Lafayette, after collapsing while at work. She was born Feb. 25, 1948 in Attica, the daughter of Paul E. and Margery Beavers Anderson. She married James M. LaFoe May 1, 1976 in Attica. He survives. She was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1966. She first began working at the Indiana Bell Telephone office as a switchboard operator. She later worked in the lab at Radio Material Corp. and at Harrison Steel Castings Company, both in Attica. For many years she babysat children for working parents. She was presently working at Wabash National Factory in Lafayette. She had attended the Attica Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodges, both in Attica. She collected Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and also Precious Memories figurines. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a daughter, Misty (Michael) Dudgeon, Lafayette; a son, Curtis (Kim) Payne, Attica; a sister, Marilyn Sue (Ralph) Cross, Attica; three brothers, Paul Michael (Joy) Anderson, Attica; James (Sue) Anderson, Attica and Danny (Jenny) Anderson, Marshall; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Revs. Harvey Lange and Ed Osborne officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. – jlr
