Attica - George W. Landis, 72 of 920 Mound St, Attica, died suddenly at 5 p.m. Thursday (Sept 13, 1962) at his home. Mr. Landis, resident of this community the past 45 years was employed b Harrison Steel here for more than 40 years. A foreman, in the firm's safety and inspection department, he retired six years ago. He was a member of Attica Christian Church, Moose Lodge and Modern Woodmen Lodge. He was born May 15, 1890 at Boswell. He married Oct 15, 1911 at Williamsport to Anna Moore. She died last May 31. Surviving are two sons, Charles of Attica and Robert of Waynetown; a brother, Harry B. of Villa Grove, Ill; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Saturday at DeSutter Funeral Home here with Rev. Dave Lang, pastor of the Christian Church in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m Friday.
