Covington – William F. Laube, 80, retired farmer died Wednesday evening at Bloomington, Ill where he had been ill the past 5 weeks. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fountain Christian Church near here with the Rev. Mr. Minton pastor of the Covington Pentecostal Church officiating. Mr. Laube was born April 21, 1865 in Germany, son of Wilhemine and Gotlieb Laube and was married March 31, 1897 to Amelia Janke. Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Martha Bailey of Sarasota, Fl and Mrs. Ella Beaver of Stone Bluff; a son, Leopold, Covington, a stepson, Emil Jahnke, Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. – kbz
