Double funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home for Alvin G. Leach, 78 and his wife, LaVeda Marie Leach, 74 of 514 Southwood Drive, Bedford. Mr. Leach, who had been in failing health one year died 6:00 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Leach died at 5:15 a.m. today at EB Crowe Community Hospital.  Mr. Leach, a retired heavy equipment supervisor at the Crane Naval Weapons Support Center was a native of Veedersburg Ind born Oct 29, 1901 son of William and Emma McCoy Leach.  He married LaVeda Marie Lewsader Nov 23, 1919 in Perrysville Indiana.  Mrs. Leach was born Sept 19, 1905 in Fountain County, Ind the daughter of Alonzo and Melvina Maller (sic) Lewsader.  They have two surviving sons, Jack D. Leach of Bedford and Don K. Leach of Indianapolis; a daughter, Ms. Jean Kennedy of Pompano Beach, Fla; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Leach is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Hurt of Danville, Ill and two brothers, Don Lewsader of Harrison, Mich and Claude Lewsader. Mr. Leach was preceded in death by a sister and brother and Mrs. Leach by two brothers and two sisters and they were both preceded in death by a son, Billy Dale. Mr. Leach was a member of Veedersburg Lodge No 491, F&AM and Mrs. Leach was a life member of the Womens International Bowling Congress.  Officiating at the double funeral will be Rev. Glenn Duncan. Burial in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening. - kz
