THREE GREAT ladies and wonderful genealogists saved many old obituaries and put them into a binder – they let me use them for the GenWeb page – thanks so much to Fauniel Hershberger; Claudine Yerkes and Betty Dotson (my adopted 2nd mom – loved that lady) – these were mostly mid 1940s deaths but no dates or newspapers are noted.
Funeral rites for Mrs. Carrie Leatherman, 73 years old, who passed away Monday night in St. John’s Hospital in Anderson were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barnes Mortuary in Rockville. Rev. Raymond Skelton officiated and burial was in Wolf Creek cemetery. Mrs. Leatherman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Wheeler of Anderson and Mrs. Madeline Bush of Pontiac, Mich and two sons, Charles Leatherman of Judson and James Leatherman of Iowa. She was well known in Kingman having been employed at Turkey Run for many years – kbz
