Grover C. Leazenbee, age 80, of 820 Washington St., Covington, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at his home. He was a former resident of Veedersburg Rt. 2, a retired plasterer and had suffered with a heart ailment. Mr. Leazenbee was born Sept. 15, 1886, in Asheville, Ohio, the son of James and Mary Gunnett Leazenbee. He was married Dec. 26, 1923, to Anna Schob, who survives. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Covington. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: three daughters, Mrs. Norma Moccobee of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Betty Brenner Leazenbee of Veedersburg and Mrs. Rosemary Garriott of Attica; three grandchildren; one brother, Joe of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two sisters, Miss Ethel Leazenbee and Mrs. Opal Goodyear, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church in Covington. The Rev. Edgar Allen, pastor, officiated and burial, with the Hegg Funeral Home of Covington in charge, was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --waw
