Crawfordsville, Nov 8 – Mrs. Ella Leonard, 83, resident of the Steam Corner neighborhood died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Inman Nursing Home where she had been a patient several weeks. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Stockdale, Waynetown and Mrs. Olive Isaac, Gary. - kbz

Hillsboro, Nov 7 - Mrs. Ella Leonard, 83, a resident of the Steam Corner community southwest of here for most of her married life, died Monday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the Inman Nursing Home in Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for several weeks. Death was attributed to the infirmities of age.

Born August 20, 1866 in Fountain County near Hillsboro she was the daughter of Wesley and Eliza Booe Long.  She was married to Amos G. Leonard who preceded her in death several years ago.  Prior to entering the nursing home, she had made her home with a sister, Mrs. Olive Fine in Crawfordsville.  

Mrs. Leonard was a member of the Scott's Prairie Christian Church at Steam Corner.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Stockdale, Waynetown and Mrs. Olive Isaac, Gary; a brother, Walter Long, Hillsboro and three sisters: Mrs. Fine with shom she made her home, Mrs. Josephine Cooper, Indianapolis and Mrs. Beddie Myer, Hillsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Crumley Funeral home in Hillsboro, Rev. John Servies of Crawfordsville will be the officiating minister.  Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
