LINDLEY, Claude

Claude Lindley, 59, of 309 Atwood Avenue in Tilton associated with his son in the Lindley Garage at 9 Franklin St died following a heart attack at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Lindley, a natie of Gates (sic - Cates) Ind had been ill for about a year. He was born March 28, 1904 the son of Sylvester and Mary R. Redenbaugh Lindley. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Weatherill whom he married Aug 24, 1925 in Kankakee and his mother, Mrs. Mary Lindley of Tilton. Also a daughter, Mrs. Roseman Stevens and a son Robert W. Lindley, both of Tilton; two brothers, JD Lindley and Robert both off Scottsale, AZ and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Stine of Oakwood, Mrs. Carter of Compton, Calif and Mrs. Robert Moore of East Chicago . There are 3 grandchildren. Mr Lindley attended the Chrisian Missionary Alliance Church and was a member of the board of directors of the Danville Sportman's Club. The body is at the Barrick & Son Funereal Home where arrangements are incomplete pending the location of the son who is on a vacation trip. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. - kbz
