LITTLE, Orrin

Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Orrin Little, son of James D. and Emily Little, was born near Tangier, Parke County, Indiana, on November 4, 1860. After a brief, but severe illness of pneumonia fever, he departed this life at the home of his nephew, Benjamin Fogleman, in Sterling, Fountain County, Indiana, on late Saturday evening, January 31, 1925, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 27 days. The greater part of his life was lived in the vicinity of his birth, but for the past fifteen years he has resided in or near Veedersburg, Indiana where he made friends, and where he was well and favorably known. He possessed many sterling qualities of character and soul. He was conscientious and honest in his dealings with his fellowmen, industrious and clean in his habits of life; genial in spirit and sympathetic with all the better things of man and his Maker. Mr. Little was never married, yet he loved home and friends and all his acquaintances became true friends. He leaves to mourn his sudden passing in death, one sister and two brothers, viz: Mrs. Samantha Fogleman, of Silverwood, Indiana; Annual Little, of near Tangier, Indiana; Oliver Little, of near Rosedale, Indiana; with nephews, nieces and other kindred and many dear friends. May the comforting grace of a loving Heavenly Father be extended and multiplied to all, sorrowing ones!  --typed by Walt W
