LIVENGOOD, Mary Williams

Hillsboro - Mrs. Mary Livengood, 68, of Maitland, Fla, a native of Hillsboro died Tuesday morning in Lake Wales Hospital. She and her husband operated a men's clothing store in Greencastle until 1955 when they moved to Florida. Mrs. Livengood was a 1923 graduate of Hillsboro HS, a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Danville, Illinois and member of First Christian Church at Lake Wales, Florida. She was born Jan 22, 1905, at Hillsboro, a daughter of Charles E. and Hattie Whitaker Williams. She was married Jan 1, 1924, to Harry Livengood. Survivors include the husband, a son, Harry W of Maitland, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Tinsley of Hillsboro; Mrs. Florence Tinsley of Denver, Colorado and Miss Ruth Williams of Indianapolis and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Evans Funeral Home at Lake Wales. Burial in Florida. - kz

  Hillsboro—Mrs. Mary Williams Livengood, 68, a former Hillsboro resident, living in Maitland, Fla., died Tuesday morning at a Lake Wales hospital. Born Jan. 22, 1905 at Hillsboro, the daughter of Charles E. and Hattie Whiteker Williams, she was married Jan. 1, 1924 to Harry Livengood, who survives. He is a former manager of Penney’s in Danville, Ill.  A 1923 graduate of Hillsboro High School, she was a member of the First Christian Church at Lake Wales. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star in Danville. Other survivors include a son, Harry Williams in Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Tinsley of Hillsboro, Mrs. Florence Tinsley of Denver, Colo., and Miss Ruth Williams of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Evans Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Burial was in Lake Wales. – thanks to S
