Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Faith "Fay" Stephens, 77, of Allerton, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been a patient for five days. She was born Jan. 21, 1896, in Brookville, Iowa, the daughter of James H. and Mary Lape Newman. She married Ralph W. Stephens Dec. 27, 1935, in Terre Haute, Ind., who died in 1964. She and her husband owned and operated several restaurants in the Danville area, including an A & W root beer stand, and restaurants on E. 14th Street and E. Main. She worked as a cashier in the restaurants they owned. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Katherine Goudy of Sheldon; and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pape Memorial Home in Danville. The Rev. William R. Stotts will officiate, with burial in Lower Mound Cemetery in Covington. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born Jan. 21, 1896, the daughter of James H. and Mary Lape Lewman. Her husband, Ralph, preceded her in death in 1964. She and her husband had owned and operated several restaurants in Danville. It was incorrectly reported to The Commercial News that they had operated an A&W drive-in at one time.
