STEVENS, Miles

Myles B. Stevens of Covington, age 82, died Monday morning, May 9, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Warren County, November 13, 1899, the son of John and Luella Buckett Stevens. June 3, 1924, he married Helen M. Snoddy, who died January 12, 1982.

  Stevens attended Benson Chapel Church and was a member of Fountain Masonic Lodge, Danville, Illinois, Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Mural Shrine and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. A graduate of Covington High School and Wabash College, he retired in 1966 as district manager and salesman for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company. He had been secretary of the Fountain County Republican Central Committee.

  Surviving are a brother, Earl Joe Stevens of Brownsburg; and two nephews.
  The body was taken from Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington to Benson Chapel Church for funeral services Wednesday morning with Rev. Tom Wilson and Rev. Gary Hall officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks so very much to S
