MRS. GEORGE STOCKDALE,   for many years a resident in the Steam Corner vicinity, northeast of here, died very suddenly at her home Tuesday evening about 5 o’clock presumably of heart disease.  She was been in failing health for about four years but her death was entirely unexpected.   She was in her usual health during the day and had just returned from the garden after gathering vegetables in preparation for the evening meal.  She was sitting in a chair and called to her husband in an adjoining room to come to her assistance that she felt ill, but had passed away before he reached her side.   Mrs. Stockdale was 49 years old and was the mother of 12 children, three having preceded her in death.     She is survived by her husband,  George Stockdale and nine children, Charles,  Arthur,  Guy,  Rex,  Ralph,  Paul and  Miss Fannie, all of whom reside at home  and   Mrs. Will Coats of Steam Corner and Jess Stockdale of Alamo.  Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Scott’s   Prairie church.   Burial was made in the Rockfield cemetery. – thanks to S&E
