Infirmities of old age brought death to Diana C. Stoup, 86 of 7:50 o'clock Saturday morning at her home near Cates following an illness of two weeks. She had resided in the Cates community all her life, and at the residence where she died 32 yeaers. She was born April 28, 1857, the daughter of Atlas and Aldana Hockett Cox.
Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. FS McKenney, Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Terry Kiger of Kingman; four sons, Ross V of Veedersburg; Elmer of St Joseph; Glenn D. of Toledo and Wilbur, at home; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, Centennial United Brethren Church with Rev. OW McGaughey, Veedersburg, officiating. Burial made in Harveysburg Cemetery with Fishero & Son of Veedersburg in charge.
