Obituary for Lora Bell Strader, well known resident died in Terre Haute

Mrs. Lora Bell Strader, 89, widow of Elmer T. Strader, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital at Terre Haute, Sunday evening, April 3, 1960 at 10:00. She was b. March 17, 1871, in Southern Illinois, the d/o Thomas & Emily MORGAN BARKER. At an early age, the family moved to Parke Co, In, wd here she resided until she came to Sterling to live with her aunt, Mrs. Nettie BROOKS. She was married to Elmer T. Strader on Jan 8, 1893, at Newtown, Indiana. After their marriage, they lived near Aylesworth In Shawnee Twp, until his death, Jan 5, 1930. She moved to Veedersburg in June of 1930. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Roy M. Williams and husband, a grandson, Daniel R. Williams, his wife, and two great granddaughters Lynn and Jane Ann, all of Terre Haute; two sisters, Mrs. Ann STRADER of Attica and Miss Chloe Barker of Marion, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews, also a host of friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Union Christian Church West of Newtown, but attended the Christian Church in V'burg. Services were held at the Parham Funeral Home with burial in the Union Cemetery, W. Of Newtown
