ATTICA — Enid (Innis) Stratton, 88, 1401 Morningside Drive, Attica, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2000 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She had been in failing health for the past 1 1/2 years. She was born Sept. 29, 1911 in Tucumcari, New Mexico, the duaghter of Ezra E. and Nellie Snyder Innis. She married Richard H. Stratton Jan. 12, 1939 in Bentonville, Ark. He preceded in death in February 1974. She was raised in Miller, Mo. and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Mo. She had resided for 54 years in Crane, Mo. before moving to Attica in 1993. She had been a resident of Woodland Manor for 1 1/2 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church and the Upper Level Senior Citizens Center. While living in Crane she was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, Civic and Culture Club, Pollyanna Club, Missouri Extension Club and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had also been very active in the Crane Christian Church and enjoyed crafts, which included knitting, crocheting and cross stitch. Survivors include: two daughters, Jane (George) Ellsworth, Attica and Nell Stumpff, Warner Robbins, Ga.; a son, Joe Stratton, Mountain Grove, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl and Ellen who died in infancy, and a third sister, Nina Langford who died in 1989. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Burial was in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, Mo. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church. – jlr
