COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Inez Mae Strawser, 78, a resident of Covington since 1931, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 31, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where she had been a patient three weeks. She had been ill since August and seriously ill one week. Born Aug. 25, 1891, in Covington, she was the daughter of Nathaniel Harden and Cynthia Ballah Wilder. She was married to Alva Strawser Dec. 4, 1912, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Roy of Danville Route 5 and Glenn of Covington; two daughters, Ms. Juaniy Allen Bryant of Kingman and Mrs. Anna Rose Smith of Covington; one foster sister, Cynthia Jones of Danville; 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons. Mrs. Strawser was a member of the Baptist Church, Royal Neighbors and Helping Hands. Prior to moving to Covington, she was a resident of the Foster Community. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. James Downey, assisted by the Rev. Dale Cadman, will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Mound Cemetery.
