Mrs. Amanda R. Stroupe, 71, widow of Phillip Stroupe, died at the Mansfield General hospital Tuesday afternoon following an extended illness. Born in Fountain county, Indiana, May 20, 1882, she had made her home in Veedersburg, Ind., most of her life, coming to Mansfield to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. William B. Schroeder, 624 Westview Blvd., last November. She was a member of the Methodist church. Besides her daughter, she is survived by one son, John Stucker, West Helena, Ark.; one brother, Mahlon Hall of Fountain county, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. S. M. Smith of Veedersburg and Mrs. Helen DeHaven of Muncie, Ind. Friends may call at the J. H. Finefrock and Sons Funeral home where services will be conducted this evening at 7:30 o'clock by Dr. Carveth P. Mitchell, pastor of the First Lutheran church. The body will be taken to Veedersburg, Ind., where further services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Parham Funeral home. Burial will be made at Attica, Ind.
