Mrs. Dorothy Stuart, 48, wife of Vernon Street, died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in ill health 15 years.  Mrs. Stuart, a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church, was born July 5, 1900 at Veedersburg the daughter of Vern and Grace Dunkle Miller. She was married May 7, 1922 in Danville to Mr. Stuart, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, James M at home, and a brother, Charles W. Miller, Anderson.  The parents, two sons, and two sisters, preceded her in death. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Pape Memorial Funeral Home.  The Rev. Harold Guenther, assistant pastor at St. James Methodist Church officiate, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.   --– transcribed by kbz

Veedersburg—Local relatives have been notified of the death of Mrs. Dorothy Stuart, 48, which occurred Friday morning at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient the past two weeks.
  Born in Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Vern and Grace Dunkle Miller. Her early life was spent here. She was married to Vernon Stuart, who survives along with a son, James, at home. She was a niece of Mrs. Guy Smith and Mrs. Edward Helms, this city.
  Funeral services and burial were in Danville.
