SUTTON, Daisy Stoup

  Daisy Sutton of Attica, age 90, died Sunday evening, February 28, in the Indiana Pythian Home at Lafayette. She was born in Inwood, Iowa, November 19, 1891, the daughter of John and Katherine Mary Stoup. August 27, 1912, she married Horace Sutton, who died April 11, 1976. A member of the Attica United Methodist Church, she was a graduate of Iowa State University and taught school in Iowa.

 
  Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Martin of Indianapolis; five sons, Forest of RR 4, Veedersburg, James of Attica, George of Goldsboro, North Carolina, John of Otterbein and Edward of Jacksonville, Illinois; a sister, Goldie Stoup of Inwood; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

 
  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. ā€“ thanks so much to ā€œSā€

Attica ā€“ Mrs. Daisy Sutton, 90, a former school teacher, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Knights of Pythias Home, Lafayette. She had been a patient at the home two weeks.  Born at Inwood, Iowa, she was a graduate of Inwood High School and Iowa State University. She taught school in Iowa several years before moving to Attica at the time of her marriage in 1912 to Horace Sutton.  He died in 1976.  Mrs. Sutton was a member of Attica United Methodist Church.  Surviving are five sons: Forest Sutton, R 4, Veedersburg, James Sutton, Attica, George Sutton, Goldsboro NC; John Sutton, Otterbein and Edward Sutton, Jacksonville, Ill; a daughter, Katherine Martin of Indianapolis and one sister, Miss Goldie Stoup of Inwood. - kbz
