SUTTON, Elizabeth Rhinehart - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs James Harris Sutton, 98, oldest resident of Fountain County died at 11 a.m. Sunday at her home, 202 W. Monroe Street, Attica.  Mrs. Sutton was born Feb 15, 1850 in Germany daughter of Michael and Marguerite Yeagar Rhinehart and came to the United States at the age of three.  She lived in Benton and Warren Counties until her marriage in 1874 and had lived in Attica the past 68 years.  Her husband died Nov 4, 1912.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.  Surviving are the following children: Miss Ada Sutton at home; Mrs. Daisy Pensen and LB Sutton, Inwood, Iowa; Mrs. Nelton LeClaire, Los Angeles, Calif; OD Sutton and Horace Sutton, Attica and Earl Sutton, Lafayette.. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home of DeSutter with interment in Riverside Cemetery.   --- transcribed by kbz
