William "Bill" Swindler, 90 of Waynetown died at 8:15 p.m. Monday Jan 2, 1978 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer. He moved to Waynetown in 1969 from Fountain Co. He was a member of the Hillsboro Nazarene Church. He attended Wallace High. Born Dec 18, 1887 near Wallace, he was the son of James T. and Charlotte Krout Swindler. In 1931 he married Dora Brown, who survives. Other survivors include two stepsons, Chester Clark of Tampa, Fla and Paul Clark of Chicago Ill; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mildred Brown of Fortville; 13 stepgrandch, a brother, James of Hillsboro and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Bertha Knox officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
