Mrs. Madge Swisher, 79, of 1711 E. Fairchild, Danville, Ill., died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug 13 1972, at the Vermilion Nursing Home, where she was a patient for a month. She was born Aug 22 1892 in Yeddo, Ind., the daughter of Oliver G and Mary Ellen Shell. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Swisher in 1958. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Johnson of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Tom Hemphill of Glen Burnie, Md., and Mrs. John Garrett of Roanoke, Va., a son James of Danville, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Services at Berhalter-Irvin funeral Home. the Rev. don Goodwin officiated. Burial in Centennial Cemetery near Yeddo. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. -- kbz
