WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. — Michael E. Tanner, 52, of 807 E. Monroe, died at 2:43 a.m. Sunday (July 30, 1972) at his home. He had been in ill health. Born Feb. 24, 1920 in Warren County, he was the son of Frank and Josephine Kiser Tanner. He married Richardene Jones Oct. 23, 1940, at Marshfield, who survives. A life resident of Warren County, he had been employed at the Ross Gear Co. in Lafayette for 22 years. He was journeyman machine repairman. He attended the Williamsport, Christian Church. Survivors also include four sons, Terry Dean of Ft. Wayne, Bob of Covington, Mark at home and Rick of Williamsport; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sheryl) Holen of Williamsport; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Salts of Danville, Mrs. Frances Ricketts of Williamsport and Mrs. Minerva Morlan of Marshfield; a half sister, Mrs. Anna Whitesell of Marshfield; and three grandchildren. A brother, two half brothers, a sister and a grandchild preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas Dickey officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W
