ATTICA — Services were 3 p.m. CST Monday at the Berhalter-Irvin Funeral Home in Danville, Ill., for Artie A. Taylor, 75, of Attica Rt. 3, who died at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient 17 days. The Rev. Russell Wickland will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery west of Catlin, Ill. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 17, 1896, at Atwood, Ill., the son of Charles Franklin and Rebecca Ann Davis Taylor. He married Leone A. Kinney on May 30, 1923, in Danville. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Vernon G. of Mesa, Ariz.; Verle C. of Olivet, Ill., Norman M. and Carol G., both of Danville, Richard L. of Georgetown, Ill. and Jimmy L. of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Payne of Covington and Mrs. Mary Lou Simmons of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Young of Danville; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.   --typed by Walt W
