COVINGTON — Pansy Ethel Taylor, 91, 1300 Short St., Covington, died at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2000 in Provena USMC Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. She was born Aug. 6, 1909 in Foster, the daughter of James L. and Mary Ballah Brasker. She married Alan F. Taylor Jan. 18, 1928 in Marshfield. He preceded in death July 29, 1984. She had been a resident of Covington since 1983 and was a former resident of Danville, Ill. and State Line. She attended the Assembly of God and was a member of the Covington Senior Citizens. Survivors include: a daughter, Shirley (Ron) Thiede, Danville, Ill.; two grandsons, Jeff (Carol) Zeigler, Columbus, Ohio and Doug Zeiger, Seattle Wash.; two step grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Shake, Indianapolis and Darcy (Scott) Johnson, Paris, Ill.; and three great-grandchildren, Cody Zeiger and Bethany Zeigler, both of Columbus, Ohio and Zachary Zeigler. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James L. Brasker, Jr. and Donald O. Brasker; and two sisters, Mary Alice Verden and Beulah Bayless. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Ken Pavlick officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God or Covington Senior Citizens. – jlr
