W. Roy Taylor of the Bachelors Hall community died in Memorial Hospital this morning at 5 o'clock. He had been in failing health for the last 10 years and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. Mr. Taylor, age 75, was born in Fountain County, Ind., on April 18, 1896, a son of the late Abraham Lincoln Taylor and Mrs. Arelia Cox Taylor. He lived most of his life in the Chicago area where he was employed by International Harvester Company. He had resided since 1951 at Bachelors Hall where he operated Taylor's Drive-In. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Moss Taylor of the home, and one daughter, Mrs. Ann Marie Patterson of the Mount Cross Rd.; three sons; Ronald Taylor of the Vandola Road, Charles R. Taylor of Bassett and Donald Taylor of the home; and three grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted from Swicegood Chapel Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Matteo Pacifico. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum in Danville Memorial Gardens. The remains will rest at the funeral home and the family will be at the residence at Bachelors Hall.

Last services for W. Roy Taylor will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mattel Pacifico. Entombment will be in the mausoleum in Danville Memorial Gardens. Mr. Taylor of the Bachelors Hall Community died yesterday in Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for 10 years and was admitted to the hospital Tuesday. Mr. Taylor age 75 was born in Fountain County, Ind, a son of the late Abraham Lincoln and Arelia Cox Taylor.  He lived most of his life in the Chicago area where he was employed by International Harvester Company. He had resided since 1951 at Bachelor’s Hall where he operated Taylor’s Drive-in.  He was a veteran of WWI.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Moss Taylor of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Marie Patterson of the Mount Cross Rd.  Three sons, Ronald of the Vandola Road; Charles B of Bassett and Donald of the home; and three grandsons.
