TEAGARDEN, Hulda Deer

Huldah Deer Teegarden, daughter and fifth child of Urial and Frances Long Deer was born on the 12th day of Oct 1850 in a log hut built by her father and mother upon the farm which is known as the Milk and Honey Farm which adjoins the town of Kingman IN on the east. She spent her entire life except a short duration of time when she was with her children while they were away attending college and answered her Master's call on the 29th day of Nov 1925 at six o'clock upon the sacred spot of land of her birth. On the 10th day of December 1872 she was united in marriage with John R. Teegarden by John H. Ephlin and to this union six children were born, 3 of whom preceded her in answer to the Master's Call, namely Bert E. at the age of 21 years 10 months and 11 days; David R and Cassius C. in infancy; those surviving are a son, Noah M. who resides with his family at Veedersburg, Indiana, Daisy M. Edwards and her family at 1719 Broadway Indianpolis, In and Emma M. Young who together with her son and his family reside upon a farm about six miles north of Marshall IN she also leaves suriving her husband, John R. Teegarden at the old home farm and 8 grandchildren, and one great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. William Parish of Veedersbug and many friends. She confessed faith in Jesus and was baptized gave herself to God many years ago under pastroal call of Br. LC Warren and was ever afterwards a devoted and praying chrisitan, a christian that hprayed as she believed not long and loud to be heard of the world but in secret with God. She was a good woman a devoted mother, a christian.
