THARP, Bobby Lee - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

 Rev. Bobby Lee Tharp of Attica, age 48, died Saturday morning, January 16, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Bicknell, February 23, 1933, the son of Willis and Helen Buckles Tharp. June 30, 1951, he married Dorothy Stetler, who survives.

  A graduate of Attica High School and God’s Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio, he had been a minister for various Nazarene churches for 17 years, serving as pastor at Cates, Covington and Oxford and at churches in Louisiana. He had also worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica.

  Also surviving are his parents and a sister, Phyllis Pattengale, all of Attica.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Thomas Charles and Rev. James Kesler officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks so much to “S”
