Grange Corner, Ind - J. Bon Thomas, 91, of Grange Corner, Ind died at 10:37 a.m. Sunday, Aug 5, 1990 at Lee Alan Bryant Healthcare Facitilites, Rockville, Ind. He was born October 23, 1898, south of Wallace, Indiana, the son of Joseph B. and Almira V. Myers Thomas. He was married to Hazel Etter in 1918. She preceded him in death in 1923. He then married Beulah Davis of Wallace, Indiana on July 25, 1925, at Covington, Ind. She survives. Also surviving are twin sons, Joe of Grange Corner and John D. of Waynetown, Ind; a daughter, Mrs. James C. (Ruthann) Yater of Kingman, Ind, Route 1; a nephew, George A. Lowe of Crawfordsville, Ind; five grandchildren, a step grandchild, 13 great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and two step great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, three great grandsons and a step great grandson. He was a farmer in the Grange Corner community from 1938-1963. He was active in Democratic politics all of his life. He had served two terms as trustee of Sugar Creek Township, Parke County, Ind. He was a member of Wolf Creek Church and a trustee of Wolf Creek Cemetery. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wolf Creek Community Church, south of Wallace. Officiating: Rev. Lester Niles. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. Burial at adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, Ind.
