Mrs. Emma Alive Thorn, aged 70, a life long resident of
Fountain County, Indiana died Thursday night in the home of her son, L.N. Thorn
of Warsaw, where she had been making her home for some time. She was a member
of the Christian Church, Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters and Pocahontas
Lodge. Her husband, John Thorn died last
March. They had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Christmas day.
The son, LN Thorn who is director of the Warsaw Boys’ Club and who is widely
known as a football and basketball official is the only near surviving
relative. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in the Christian
Church in Mellott, Ind. Burial will be in a cemetery near Newtown, Ind. - kbz
