TIBBETT, Robert Eugene - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

COVINGTON — Robert Eugene Tibbett, 77, formerly of Covington, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. He was born April 4, 1923 in Cates, the son of Curtis and Bessie Reed Tibbett. He was formerly married to Gladys Lowery who preceded him in death in 1977. He was raised in Parke County and had lived in Covington for many years before moving to Danville, Ill. He had resided in Country Care for one year. He farmed for many years near Lodi in Parke County. Survivors include: a daughter, Karen Sue Hutts, Danville, Ill.; two sons, Daniel Tibbett, Danville, Ill. and Robert Leroy Tibbett, Covington; two sisters, Thelma Gossett, Danville, Ill. and Frances Livengood, Lafayette; and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Little and two brothers, James and Wayne Tibbett. Gravesite services were at 11 a.m. Friday in Miller Cemetery, Lodi. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, in charge of local arrangements. – jlr
