Services for Flava Lloyd Tittle, 86, of Danville, formerly of 1938 N. Bowman, who died Friday , at 9:23 a.m. (May 7, 1971) at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home. The Rev. D. Richard Newhall officiating. Burial will be in Atherton Cemetery. Visitation was after 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born Feb. 12, 1885 in Butler, Mo., he was the son of Edward and Lydia Kinney Tittle. He married Myrtle E. Rodgers Oct. 27, 1904 in Covington, Ind. and she preceded him in death Oct. 30, 1954. Mr. Tittle lived in Covington as a child and received his education there. He then moved to Danville in 1923 and worked as a painter and decorator. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Herschel (Gladys) Hauk and Mrs. Brooks (Julia) Hendrickson, both of Danville, Mrs. Howard (Alice) Rhodes of Griffith, Ind. and Mrs. Emil (Mary Louise) Hack of St. Louis, Mo.; a half sister, Mrs. Lem (Mabel) Presnell of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Tittle was a member of the Christian Church in Covington and a former member of the Modern Woodman of America and Home Militia. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan.   --typed by Walt W
