Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

John Toby, age 65, a brother of Mrs. William (Maurine) Morton, 1002 Liberty St., died at 5:30 p. m. Sunday, March 19, in Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, N. Y. He had been a patient four days with a heart condition. Born Dec. 15, 1895, in Highland Township, Vermillion County, Ind., he was a son of Henry C. and Clara Jane Van Deventer Toby. He never married. Mr. Toby was a mechanic and operated a garage and had resided in Lockport the past 45 years. Survivors include two brothers, Frank of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Fred of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Morton of Covington and Mrs. Rachel Landis of Royal Center, several nieces and nephews. Four brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be in Lockport, N. Y.   --typed by Walt W
