TORNQUIST, Helen Foreman

Mrs. Helen M. Tornquist, 50, of 1617 E. Cleveland, died at 8 a.m. Monday (July 6, 1970) at her residence. She had been in failing health for 10 month. Born Sept. 27, 1919 at Newport, Ind., she was the daughter of Amos and June Malone Foreman. She was married to Amos J. Tornquist in 1937 at Covington, Ind. Mrs. Tornquist came to Donville from Newport as a child. She had been with the General Electric Co. in Danville for 20 years as an inspector. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Danville and the Danville Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served as worthy matron in 1960. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Beverly Ann) Redmon of Henning; two brothers, Ralph Foreman of Georgetown and Raymond Foreman of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Scarlett of Ridge Farm; two grandchildren, and her mother of Ridge Farm. She was preceded in death by a brother. The body is at Lakeside Funeral Chapel where arrangements are incomplete.   --typed by Walt W
