COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — Ira W. Tremaine, 88, of Covington, died at 2:05 a.m. today (Sept. 20, 1968) in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient since Aug. 29. A retired carpenter, he had resided in Covington 14 years. Born July 2, 1880, in Decatur County, Ind., he was a son of George B. and Mattie Shera Tremaine. He was married July 6, 1902, to Marie Christine Edens who preceded him in death Dec. 6, 1950. He was married Dec. 11, 1954, to Marguerite Mae Coleman Hurst, who preceded him in death Feb. 16, 1964. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Hickman of Williamsport Route 2; a half-sister, Mrs. Frankie Crockett of Salina, Kan.; two half-brothers, Ralph and Albert Tremaine, both of Salina; and two grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Mr. Tremaine was a member of the Covington First Church of Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Harold Fogle will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after noon Saturday.   --typed by Walt W
