Carl Paul Trump of Roselawn, father of Max Trump of Rensselaer and previous to his Roselawn residence long identified with the Fair Oaks area of Jasper County passed away at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday June 19, 1963, a short time after he was stricken ill while visiting friends in the yard of their Thayer home. Although his health had been declining for four months, his death was sudden and unexpected.  Mr. Trump who was familiarly known by his intimate friends as “Cutie” was born in Yeddo, Parke County, Indiana, Oct 1, 1896, the son of James Trump and Clara (Barker) Trump.  After leaving his native county he made his home in Fair Oaks for a long period of time. He was married to Ila Bigger who passed away in 1937.  Mr. Trump was employed in various capacities until his retirement from active life in recent years. The immediate survivors are three sons and one daughter, Max Trump of Rensselaer, Carl Trump, Jr of Three Rivers, Michigan; Mrs. Shirley Schull of Three Rivers, Mich and William Trump of Lowe; his mother, a resident of Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pierre; 10 grandchildren two great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Cora McKay and Mrs. Hattie Warne, both of Fair Oaks and Mrs. Beulah McCauley of Rensselaer. He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter, one brother and one sister.  The funeral services were held from Jackson Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Harry McCorkel officiating. Interment was in Fair Oaks cemetery. - kbz
