Lee Turman, 75, of 1114 North street, a retired druggist, expired at 7:10 p.m. Friday at Memorial hospital after a lengthy illness. He was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago from a nursing home where he had been residing. He was born in Fountain county on March 8, 1879, to Samuel and Ollie (Keller) Turman. His first drug store here was where Mygrant's Music store is now located and he later occupied the site at the northwest corner of Sixth street and Broadway, retiring in 1952 after more than 50 years as a local druggist. He leaves the wife, Anna; a daughter, Katherine, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Elmo Kidd, Catlin, Ill. He was a member of Tipton lodge No. 33 F. and A.M. Friends may call today at the Chase-Miller funeral home, where last rites will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The Rev. Harold King will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
