UTTERBACK, Anna Crane

Source: Crawfordsville Review Dec 30, 1919

Hillsboro, Dec 29 – Death through heart disease claimed Mrs. Hal Utterback, a resident of the community northeast of Newtown, early Sunday morning.  She retired the evening before in apparently sound health, but during the early morning hours her husband, sleeping near her was awakened by her labored efforts to breath.  She passed away before a physician could reach her side. The deceased a daughter of Oliver Cane of Wingate, was 34 years of age at the time of her death. She was loved by her friends in this community for her gentleness and womanliness. Nine children, her husband, her father and many brothers survive her. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Christian Church in Wingate with burial in Liberty cemetery, southeast of Elmdale. - kbz

Note: She is Anna Maude Crane Utterback and was born in 1886.  Buried Liberty Chapel Cemetery.  Hal lived until 1948. They had one son (perhaps more) born/died in 1902 named Elmer
