Attica – Mrs. Mary L. VanHook, 63, of 1118 E. Main St, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday in Home Hospital, Lafayette where she was admitted Tuesday. Born near Independence, Mrs. VanHook had lives most of her life at Attica. In 1929 she was married at Danville, Ill to Robert H. VanHook, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Loretta) Wolfe of Attica; one son, Bobby D. VanHook of Lafayette; three brothers, Joseph, William and Bernard Butz, all of Attica; and a sister, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Carnahan of Attica.
Source: Same – Friends will be received at Dale Maus Funeral Home, Attica, after 5 p.m. today. Service at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maus Chapel the Rev. Don Green officiating. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
