COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) Lawrence F. Vickery, 75, of Covington Route 2, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday (May 10, 1971) at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been a patient a week and ill several years. Born April 9, 1896, in Fountain County, he was the son of Charles and Lenora Stambaugh Vickery. He married Mayrtle Mae Dixon Dec. 20, 1923, A resident of Mount Township most of his life, he served in the Army in France during World War I. A mechanic in his early life, he was a farmer most of his life. His memberships included: Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, 50-years Ogden, Ill., Masonic Lodge 754 AF and AM, 50-years Scottish Rite of Danville, Ill., Danville American Legion Post 210, Danville Elks Lodge 332, Wabash Valley Association and Indiana Farm Bureau. Survivors include his widow; a foster son, Byron Berger of Covington Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Faye) Bearnon of Bartow, Fla., and Mrs. Maurice (Ruth) Hunter of Howell, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eugene Rapson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.   -– jlr
