VEEDERSBURG — Lillie Mae York,
76, Veedersburg, died at 3 a.m. June 10, 2001 in St. Elizabeth Hospital,
Lafayette. She was born Dec. 24, 1924 in Bismark, Ill., the daughter of Henry
M. and Della L. Hoffman Weber. She married Floyd York. He preceded in death in
1969. She worked for Continental A.T.C. in Danville, Ill. and as a babysitter
and homemaker. She was a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church in
Veedersburg. Survivors include: a daughter, Bonnie (Bill) Perry, Veedersburg; a
brother, Newt Weber, Veedersburg; four grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, two brothers
and three sisters. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Dickerson
Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. David Frazuer officiating. Burial was
in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery, Kingman. Preferred memorials to the American
Diabetes Association or the Community Bible Baptist Church. – jlr
