Herbert Youkey, Sr, 78, died Monday in the Veterans Memorial Hospital, Danville, Illinois. He had been a patient since April 14, 1966. He was the son of Perry and Elizabeth (Woods) Youkey. He was born November 15, 1889 and was a veteran of WWI. He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Youkey, Jr. Final rites are 2 p.m. Thursday at Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Fred Erickson in charge. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery south of Veedersburg. (excerpt)

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Herbert Youkey Sr., 78, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday (July 22, 1968) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient there since April 4, 1966. Born in Veedersburg, Nov. 15, 1889, he was the son of Terry and Elizabeth Woods Youkey. He was married to Helen Milner. He had been a laborer and was a veteran of service in the Army during World War I. He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Jr. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Erickson will officiate. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W
