VEEDERSBURG — Funeral services for Herbert Eugene Youkey, 33-year-old Veedersburg man, who was killed instantly while walking on US-136, two miles east of Covington Tuesday night, April 13, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiated and burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. The fatal accident occurred at 10:35 p.m. and the victim had multiple injuries, including a crushed skull. He was enroute home from Covington when the accident occurred. The bus was headed east from Champaign, Ill., to Indianapolis. The accident victim was born July 27, 1931, at Veedersburg. His parents are Herbert E. and Helen Milner Youkey. He was never married. He was graduated from Veedersburg High School and served from 1952 to 1954 in the U. S. Army. State Trooper Lloyd Jennings, Deputy Sheriff Arthur Cruea Jr., and Fountain County Coroner Robert Shelby, all of Covington, investigated.   --typed by Walt W
