Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Blanche Uldean Young, 78, of 801 Ravine Park Blvd., died Monday (Dec. 13, 1971) at the Alward Nursing Home. She had been a patient since 1969. Born in Odell in Tippecanoe County, June 28, 1893, she was the daughter of James and Mattie Howey Jones. She was married March 28, 1923, at Attica to Don Young, an interior decorator, who died June 29, 1969. A resident of Attica for 48 years, she was a telephone operator prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church and Methodist Guild. Survivors include two daughters Mrs. Robert (Martha) Booth of Danville and Mrs. Roger (Mary Jo) Smith of Indianapolis; a son Bob D. of Carmel; and two grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at the Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vernon A. Lallemant officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.   -– jlr
