Mrs. Candace V. Young, 51, of 116 Bensyl Ave., died at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 29, 1970) at Lake View Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Sept. 17. She had been ill two weeks. Mrs. Young was born April 2, 1919, at Van Wert, Ohio, daughter of Estell and Josie Albert Sperry. She was married to Charles A. Young on July 21, 1937, in Covington, Ind., and he survives. Also surviving are her parents; two sons, Dean Young and Ronald Young, both of Danville; two daughters, Charla Young, a school teacher in South Korea, Candy Young, at home; a brother, Dean Sperry of Russellville, Ark.; and two granddaughters, Rhonda and Brenda Young, both of Danville. Mrs. Young, a graduate of Henning High School, was an employe of Aerosol Techniques, Inc., where she worked until two weeks ago. She was a member of Vermilion Heights Methodist Church. Her hobby was raising flowers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Perry Bishop of Vermilion Heights Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Ed Barnes of Vermilion Heights Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Potomac Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.   -– jlr
