Veedersburg – Mrs. Mary A. Young,
90, native of Fountain County died Monday at her home, 128 Kingston Ave,
Indianapolis where she had resided for the past four years. Mrs. Young, the daughter of David and
Katherine Krout Fine, was born June 23, 1862.
Mrs. Young was married Feb 7, 1878, to William B. Young, in Veedersburg.
He preceded her in death. Seven children, two daughters and five sons survive,
in addition to a sister, Mrs. Delaney Dodd of Westfield. The two daughters are
the Misses Ada and Nettie Young, both of Indianapolis while the surviving sons
are Irva Young and Clyde Young also of Indianapolis, Frank Young of Redwood
Falls, Minn and John Young and Walter Young, both of Crawfordsville. The body was taken to the Bright Funeral Home
in Crawfordsville Tuesday to remain there throughout the afternoon and
evening. The body will be brought to the
Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg, Wednesday morning where it will remain
until shortly after the noon hour on Thursday when it will be taken to the
Christian Church in Veedersburg where funeral services will be conducted at
2:30 pm. Thursday. Dr. WA Schullenberger, pastor of the Central Christian
Church of Indianapolis, will conduct the services. Burial will be made in the
Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. – kbz -
