Veedersburg, Ind. (CNS) -- Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Flanner & Buchanon Broadripple Funeral Home in Indianapolis for Miss Nellie Young, 76, a native of Veedersburg who had resided for the past 20 years in Indianapolis. She was found dead Tuesday evening in her auto in a church parking lot where she had attended services. Graveside rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Miss Nellie Young, 76, formerly of Veedersburg, who has resided in Indianapolis for the past 20 years, was found dead Tuesday evening, Oct. 17, 1967, in her auto in a church parking lot where she had attended services. Cause of death has not been determined. She had not been ill. Graveside services were conducted Monday at Waynetown Masonic cemetery following rites at Indianapolis. Miss Young, a daughter of William B. and Mary Fine Young, was born Feb. 12, 1891, at Hillsboro. She was a graduate of the Veedersburg High School in 1910 and Valparaiso University in 1919, receiving her Master's degree at Butler University in 1936. She was an ordained Christian Church minister. Miss Young was a teacher and children's education director a North Central Christian Church in Indianapolis and founded the Marion County Weekday Religious Education program for children. For years she was children's minister and youth advisor at North Central Church. The editor remembers her best as director of children's work in the Indiana Sunday School Association in the late 30's before she took up the work with North Central Christian Church. She often came back to Fountain County to attend the meetings of the Fountain County Sunday School Convention for which her sister Ada was the secretary. She also wrote some articles for the Workers Corner, a Sunday School paper distributed by the editor of this newspaper at that time. She was a 50-year member of Valetta Chapter OES at Veedersburg. Survivors include three brothers, William Irva of Indianapolis and John R. and Walter B. of Crawfordsville, also nieces and nephews and cousins. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.   --typed by Walt W
